I want a kitten, maybe 2. I am very specific about those kittens, too. I don’t care about breed or such. I just want a gray female kitten under 8 weeks old. A tuxedo kitten will be great, as long as it is gray. You’d think this little kitten, or kittens, would be easy to find, but I’ve been asking around for a year, and no luck.
I grew up on a classic family farm out in the woods so I have had animals and pets in my life all of my life. Since I started walking the Wiccan path I’ve had familiars, cats primarily. Many years ago I started with one Siamese cat, Phaedeaux. He was a Cajun kitty. When he passed on I got two cats, John and Greta. The number grew through the years. It topped out at 12. The years have taken their toll. For the first time in 45 years I have no familiar with me. I deeply miss having a familiar. My nephew’s cat lives with me, so he’s not a familiar. The last cat who lived with me wasn’t a familiar. I loved him, though, as I love the one here now. But a witch needs a familiar and I don’t have one.
Maybe it’s because I’m doing my yearn without magick.
